Welcome to my website!
I grew up in small logging towns in the shadow of Mount Rainier in beautiful Washington State where my dad was a logging truck driver. After our mom died, he was a single parent to me and my younger sister Margie. My writing has been inspired and impacted by the difficulties and the joys growing up in those small towns.
My poems and short stories have won First Place, Second Place, Third Place and Honorable Mention Awards in local and national writing competitions and I’m excited to share them with you.
I began college in my twenties, took a long break to raise my family, and finally earned my Bachelors Degree from the University of Washington in my 40s!
I live in Kirkland, Washington with my husband, Dustin Frederick.
